MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — Investigators said on Wednesday that they were examining surveillance video to determine whether a man who robbed and pistol whipped a gas station attendant is responsible for other robberies in the area.

The worker was robbed while she was working late Monday at the North Point Marathon on North Sandusky Street, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported.

"I literally was laughing at him (saying), 'There's cameras up here.  Are you that stupid?" Gretchen Stump said.

The man continued to rob her.

The armed, masked man entered the Marathon station at about midnight an was in and out of the business in 30 seconds, Stump said.

"He's pulling the hammer back on the gun and he's got it right to the side of my head and then boom, whoops me with it," Stump said.

She immediately called 911 but, by the time police got there, the robber was gone.

"I really want this man caught because to me only cowards hide behind guns," Stump said.

The robber remained at large and police said they fear he will become more violent.

The owner of the Marathon station is offering a cash reward for the robber's arrest and conviction.
