'Blizzard' Boxes Help When Meals On Wheels Can't
Monday, February 8, 2010 4:52 PM
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The snowstorm prevented Meals on Wheels from making its deliveries on Saturday, but the
organization's preparations were paying off Monday.
Each year Meals on Wheels provides its clients with two "blizzard box" meals, to use in case inclement weather stops deliveries, 10TV News reported.
Meals on Wheels said it was able to make deliveries Monday, but if more snow falls this week, clients could need that second emergency meal.
