Firefighter Critically Hurt While Battling Blaze

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus firefighter was in critical condition on Sunday morning after he collapsed inside a
Linden area home while he was battling a fire.
The firefighter, whose name was not immediately released, was inside a home located in the 1800 block of Robert Street at about 10:45 p.m. when he collapsed in the basement.
According to a news release by the Columbus Division of Fire, crew members immediately came to the firefighter's aid and removed him from the basement.
Then, they started life-saving measures at the scene and transported him to Riverside Methodist Hospital, firefighters said.
