Aba Maalin found at a hotel near O'Hare Airport, 10TV's Brittany Westbrook reported.
She had been missing since Thursday afternoon.
Witnesses said Maalin was returning to her home on Acacia Drive at about 3 p.m. when three men forced her into a van and drove away, police said.
A family member, who said they witnessed the abduction, said one of the men was Maalin's grandson, Osman Muhidin.
Earlier on Friday, police issued a warrant for Muhidin's arrest, charging him with his grandmother's kidnapping, 10TV News reported.
Authorities in Chicago said four people were taken into custody in connection with the case.
It was not clear if Muhidin was one of the people in custody.
